Kerala : V-Guard Industries Ltd. has reaffirmed its dedication to inclusive and sustainable community development, announcing the successful completion of 56 Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) projects across India during the 2025-26 financial year. With a total investment of ₹7.13 crore, the company’s initiatives reached nearly 78,000 beneficiaries across 11 states, with a strong foundational focus on its home state of Kerala.

Spanning education, healthcare, environmental sustainability, and women’s empowerment, V-Guard’s community outreach was designed to address immediate local needs while fostering long-term resilience.

“Kerala has always been central to V-Guard’s journey, and our CSR efforts here are shaped by a deep understanding of local needs and aspirations,” said Dr. Reenaa Mithun Chittilappilly, Director of V-Guard Industries Limited and the V-Guard Foundation. “We believe that real impact comes from consistent engagement. Whether it was strengthening public healthcare systems, supporting education at the grassroots, or enabling women to build independent livelihoods, these initiatives did not just address immediate gaps but contributed to long-term, community-led progress.”

A major milestone during the year was the launch of Edam, a free counselling centre for women in Kochi. The facility was established to address the growing need for accessible mental health support and to encourage early intervention through dedicated awareness and counselling services.

V-Guard also made significant investments in public healthcare infrastructure. Through the Swastha project, the company provided 1,000 free dialysis sessions to underprivileged patients battling chronic kidney disease. Additionally, the donation of a hemodialysis machine to the Government General Hospital in Thiruvananthapuram improved treatment access and reduced wait times for over 350 patients.

Preventative care and inclusivity were also central to the year’s health initiatives. The Cancer Shield program, launched in collaboration with the Kerala Police Association and leading hospitals, enabled over 1,000 women to receive free breast cancer screenings. Meanwhile, the Samaveshah initiative provided health camps, sensitization sessions, and essential aid to around 100 members of the transgender community. To combat substance abuse among youth, V-Guard backed the Kochi City Police’s Udayam project, delivering drug awareness programs to more than 1,000 school students.

Driving economic independence for women remained a core pillar of V-Guard’s outreach. The Nari Shakthi initiative equipped 120 single mothers & widows across Ernakulam and Alappuzha with vocational training in tailoring, beautician services, and baking, providing them with the tools and equipment needed to launch sustainable livelihoods. In the sports arena, the company partnered with The Bodhi Tree Foundation to support a football training program that fostered life skills and athletic development for 35 young women.

To improve learning environments at the grassroots level, V-Guard funded school books for 242 underprivileged students at Ragavendra Vidyalaya School in Alappuzha and upgraded infrastructure at Sacred Heart Jesus U.P. School in Eloor, benefiting 300 students. In Kozhikode, the company furnished a Neighbourhood Learning Hub that provided after-school tutoring and life skills training for 38 children from local fishing communities.

Under its Build India banner, V-Guard took on critical infrastructure and environmental projects. A major river restoration effort at Thiruvarppu Panchayat improved water flow and ecological balance in the Vembanad Lake region, directly benefiting approximately 2,500 residents. The company also funded housing renovations for 12 tribal households in Ernakulam’s Kuttampuzha Panchayat and donated 42 specialized beds to an orphanage in Kochi to improve the quality of life for differently-abled residents.

V-Guard’s commitment to social responsibility extended to its workforce through the V-Serve employee engagement program. Throughout the year, employees participated in palliative care volunteering to support patients and their families, and led tree plantation drives to boost local green cover and environmental sustainability.

Through these comprehensive efforts across Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Telangana, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Sikkim, Odisha, Gujarat, West Bengal, and Haryana, V-Guard successfully translated its corporate values into meaningful, community-driven action during FY 2025-26.
