Mangaldai :: Commemorating the supreme sacrifice of our freedom fighters in getting our independence , a local NGO Crystal Vision like the last nine years , this time also organized a voluntary blood donation camp here at the Blood Bank on August 14. Deputy Commissioner, Darrang Prabhati Thaosen formally inaugurated the camp by lightening the traditional lamp in presence of several senior health officials including Additional Chief Medical and Health Officer, Darrang, Dr Nirmal Kumar Beria, Superintendent of Mangaldai Civil Hospital , Dr Gopinath Bora, Deputy Superintendent Dr Munin Medhi and Dr Daud Ali, in- charge Medical Officer, Blood Bank ,Mangaldai.
In her inaugural address Deputy Commissioner Thaosen deeply appreciated the efforts of the organizers for this noble cause and congratulated the young and new donors for coming forward . Earlier president Crystal Vision, M Goswami explained the significance of event. The day long camp recorded donors from different parts of the district and cross section of the society including NGO members, lady teachers from Mangaldai Kendriya Vidyalaya , specifically able youth, media persons, entrepreneurs etc. After the camp each donor was provided with a certificate and an appreciation letter.
