BJP gears up for state elections in NE,  JDU may go alone

GUWAHATI : Bjp is gearing up for assembly elections in five states including Manipur, Uttarakhand. The BJP has started the exercise of preparing the party’s roadmap for these assembly elections through several important meetings. BJP north-east in-charge and National Vice President State In-charge Baijayant Panda told the correspondent today (Wednesday) that BJP President JP Nadda has asked the units of the states to organize chintan shivir and directed them to chalk out their strategy by September 10. Panda said the BJP will form the government for the second time in a row in the north-eastern state. Out of the 5 states in the country going to polls in the early months of next year, four are bjp or its allied coalition governments in UP, Uttarakhand, Goa and Manipur.

The Sashakti Mandal by 25th September, The Sashakti Mandal by Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya’s birthday, the active booth committee by Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s birthday on December 25 and the campaign to appoint Panna chiefs on the party’s foundation day by April 6 next year have been decided to end. Bjp is also finalising a programme of special interaction with people in select cities across the country. On the other hand, Jd(U) JD(U) National President Lalan Singh said that the party is gearing up for the upcoming assembly elections in the states of UP, Uttarakhand, Goa and Manipur. The JD(U) National Council meeting on Up Assembly elections and Manipur assembly elections on Sunday sealed that the party will contest in both the places. JD(U) National President Lalan Singh today said Talking to reporters in Guwahati, he said, the alliance will be spoken to before the elections, if the JD(U) gets a seat share in contesting in both the states, it is okay, otherwise the JD(U) will contest both the places with full force. The MPs had reached flood affected areas of Bariapur block of Munger Lok Sabha constituency on Tuesday to meet the victims.

 The national president said the JD(U) is with the alliance. If the JD(U) is seriously heard in seat sharing, the nda (National Democratic Alliance) will contest the elections.The JD(U) will be in the fray alone if seats are not staked in both the places. The JD(U) national president said Bihar has completely changed under the leadership of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. Development work has been done in every field. The changes that have taken place in the social sector are being seen by the people of every State. In both the states, JD(U) has started preparations for the elections. From the JD(U) functionaries to the workers, they are in the process of elections. People all over the country like Nitish Kumar. The JD(U) National President said that all assistance will be provided to the flood victims. Six thousand rupees each will be given ranging from house damage, crop damage. It may be recalled that bjp-JD(U) and VIP are the four parties under nda alliance in Bihar. Among the ruling parties, MUKESH Sahni of VIP has announced that he will field his candidates in more than 150 seats in Uttar Pradesh.
